That's pretty pathetic. People who do that or criticize someone else's phone have a problem. In Latin America that doesn't exist, since here most people use WhatsApp. Americans are very weird

Happened to me a few times in the past. Always felt weird to me, it's not even the main app I would use to message someone.

It's embarrassingly immature when they're being dead serious, yes. I was unfortunate enough to come across such a person a little over a year ago. It's one thing to jokingly mention "green texts," but I've known people who've legitimately looked down on those who didn't have an iPhone.

 

Having an iPhone, I've never felt inhibited texting with someone who has an Android.

I think most who say that say that not because they are aware of the technical details, but because they think those with Android based devices are poorer. Ironically there are a number of phones that use Android OS that are much, much more expensive than iPhones.

As others have mentioned getting any kind of media file from an Android phone....just forget it. I had a birthday party and no matter how the girl sent me the pics (text, WhatsApp, etc.) they came in v low quality
