Seems fishy.

But congrats to her :clap3:

Lana did not benefit from “Taylor’s influence” in any way so thank you for nothing. She made classic albums which were ahead of their times and resurged due to tiktok.

Keep being stubborn and ignore Taylor's impact on the industry with the folklore/REDTV releases when it's around that time that Lana started growing on streaming.

More monthly listeners =/= most listened

Reported for fake thread.

She has several songs pulling 500k+ daily including Last Friday Night that's nearing the 1M/day

And iirc Gaga heavily promoted Bloody Mary earlier this year (tik tok, sent to radios, huge playlisting.. etc)

"heavily promoted"

No official video, no TTH, no big playlists, no lyric video, no performances, no sped up version, no remixes and no alternative versions, how is that "heavily promoted"? :juanny:

Monthly listeners are not the number of fans. It's the number of people who listened to at least 30 seconds of your music during that month. It's related to playlist exposure, not the amount of fans. Do you seriously think Katy Perry, the fanbase-less queen, has more fans than anyone in the industry? :deadbanana2:

OK then high monthly listeners means your music has been enjoyed by more people than the artist with lower monthly listeners. Dispel that. And why exactly is streams better than amount of unique listeners? That means the higher streaming artist has lower impact that the artist with more unique listeners. Oh so they have more sales equivalents? Still doesn't matter measure impact as well as amount of unique listeners.

It’s not weird

More people listen to Katy while Lana gets more streams per unique listener, which is usually the case when an artist recently released an album (= more replay value)

Gaga is still outstreaming Katy and Gaga's last studio album dropped before Katy's last studio album.

It’s funny how now that Katy surpasses Gaga this metric is pointless and not relevant

Never change monsters :rip:

Because this metric is pointless and irrelevant? :rip:

Girl... :deadbanana:

High monthly listeners with lower daily streams just mean people were exposed to one of your songs through a playlist and never bothered to ever listen to the rest of your catalog. It just means she has good playlist placement.

“Taylor’s impact on the industry”

Maybe maybe… Lana’s discography went viral on tiktok

TBH, her catalog is iconic. It is impressive her decade-old songs still get so many streams, and make up the majority of her streams nowadays. Me thinks she should go on tour ASAP; this statistic would most likely mean a sold-out stadium tour. :duca:

This reminds me of when every major publication exposed her for faking her Twitter and IG followers.

This proves that all those articles about Katy's stats and followers being fake were true.
There's not one organic metric, from Twitter and IG followers to YouTube and now Spotify.

This is pretty misleading. Lana is still pretty far ahead of her in terms of discography consumption on Spotify.

That's not what I said. I said that Taylor influenced the industry in a way that benefits Lana a lot. The entire singer songwriter era that we live in and a massive increase in popularity for Lana is thanks to Taylor. Of course Taylor was influenced by Lana but it's Taylor that made it cool and trendy.

Thats strike two.

So Gaga’s stats can be real but when it comes to Katy it’s fake ? :rip:

Gaga was able to fill stadiums and theaters last year

Katy can barely make people pay a Happy Meal to attend her concert and that’s less than 5k per night

Katy has over 200 million followers on Instagram and yet she can't sell out a theater and her latest album spent just 4 weeks on the BB 200. :rip: Give it up, there's nothing left to argue with.

Yeah I am sure Katy’s label has nothing better to do than buy instagram followers, twitter followers, tv audiences and spotify streams
