Darkgalord Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Barbie is having a huge BO success. It's the movie event of the year one could say. But will time treat it kindly and become one of the most revered movie classics of all time like Legally Blonde? A film that's adored by gays, kids and straights?
Katamari Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 It hasn’t even been out a week expecting good things for duas Barbie and PinkPantheress’ Barbie OST tho
Hector Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Easily. The rewatch ability potential alone is off the charts!
Before Today Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 I loved the cast but it was a very meh, if not terrible movie. Poorly written, failed to be funny at times, and very anti-climactic Maybe I'm just not their target audience, but overall the plot felt weak and all over the place. They tried to be philosophical about fashion dolls when it's just a high budget marketing tool. A solid 4 from me only because Margot carried the entire movie. I'm def team Oppenheimer all the way on the Barbenheimer thing. The movie is still light-hearted and cute though and can still be enjoyable, but it's just not my cup of tea. Legally Blonde on the other hand, was a comedy classic. 3 3
vale9001 Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 More than that cause Barbie Is also a great movie.
UnusualBoy Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Is LB even considered a classic? Anyway, it's too early to tell.
Heldenzeit Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 I predict forgotten fad but I haven't seen the movie.
Blue Rose Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Barbie will be a classic but Legally Blonde will remain the superior movie 2

PMKARDASHIAN Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 No Spoiler But I also feel LB is kinda B list so maybe I don’t really know **** when it comes to movie iconography Spoiler Mean Girls top tier but duh 1
tshwark Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 No, too much propaganda to guarantee people will rewatch. 3
John Slayne Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Mean Girls would be a better example, it's a bigger classic with all demographics. anyway yes, Barbie has classic written all over it.
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 It has everything to make it a classic. Maybe it already is
DamianSolo Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Because of its source material, I think it will be a classic—yes.
JungleJuice Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 No. The film doesn't have memorable moments. Everyone will move on in a week
