ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted September 15, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted September 15, 2023 yeah i don't see this topping btc or puberty for me but... top three mitski maybe?
Pendulum Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 is it time for an album ranking? 1. Puberty 2 2. Be the Cowboy 3. The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We 4. Bury Me At Makeout Creek 5. Laurel Hell 6. Retired from Sad... 7. Lush
Pendulum Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 The vinyl I got comes with three postcards my little postcard collecting heart cannot take it
ATRL Moderator Verge of Obscene Posted September 15, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted September 15, 2023 the melodies are strong ive only listened to laurel hell and this in full so lemme dig deeper
charmed23 Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I tried 4 of her top songs on Spotify and I couldn't get the melodies and composition, very much like Bjork's later output for me. Gotta try the new album.
beckyswift Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 that love is like a star it’s gone, we just see it shining ’cause it’s traveled very far i’ll keep a leftover lighting burning so you can keep looking up i’m yours no matter
truthteller Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 My baby here on earth Showed me what my heart was worth So when it comes to be my turn Could you shine it down here for her
truthteller Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 i can conclude that this is at the top tier with Puberty 2 and Be the Cowboy
brooklyndaddy Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I went into this album with no expectations. I’ve liked everything she’s done but never really sat down with her music since BTC. This is INCREDIBLE i absolutely adore the mix of this album and how she makes a point to say enough but not too much
truthteller Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 (edited) i simply believe that she picked Bug Like An Angel as the lead because of the tracklist placement like every other track could be a better representation of the album than this edit: i'm so shocked at how tiktok lengthy all of the tracks are while the buildup is still so captivating and cinematic Edited September 15, 2023 by truthteller

BlackoutZone Posted September 15, 2023 Author Posted September 15, 2023 This is really good after all, Bug Like An Angel is low key the worst song a reverse Laurel Hell experience
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted September 15, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted September 15, 2023 A flop for me

worldwide angel Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 this was such a beautiful record. laurel hell was good but idk i didn't really feel attached to it bug like an angel is kind of the worst song on the record but it grew on me, heaven and star were the better singles mitski gets her 10s
Antisocialites Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 1. Bury Me At Makeout Creek 2. Puberty 2 3. The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We 4. Be the Cowboy 5. Retired from Sad, New Career in Business (highly underrated) 6. Laurel Hell 7. Lush

DancingShoes Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Besides Bug, the singles (including the immaculate My Love) are the best songs here, imo. Still a stunner of an album though!
Venice B Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I think this is one of her best albums when it comes to instrumentals. They're all really full if that make sense? They sound polished, complete, finished, well thought out. Especially Buffalo Replaced and When Memories Snow, they sound like super grand. This is a gorgeous album, way better than Lauren Hell
