This is EXCELLENT  I was revisiting Laurel Hell today and it kinda aged like milk, but WOO this is a giant leap forward ddddd   she's in her Big Time era with this one

I was panning Lullrel Hell when it came out too but it's not that bad.

Her country-est record so far, very cohesive with some creepy/haunted vibes to it. A stunning album, she can do no wrong (if an album like Laurel Hell is panned by fans that speaks volumes already on how amazing her discography is).

very excited for this! I'll be honest in that i haven't been keeping up with some parts of the era, but Heaven is easily in her top 15 best songs

yknow I didn't hate Laurel Hell, but it's the album of hers with the most obvious disparities between the highlights and the lows...

 

like Love Me More is such a stunning highlight, and I Guess is so whatever

this is EXCELLENCE  in ways her loneliest, bleakest, most haunted record ~ but also somehow her warmest and most hopeful? there is a generosity in these songs that is incredibly moving to me. her melodies and storytelling really suit this country, western-inspired sound.

upon first listen honestly I’m Your Man might be my fav

This album is so beautiful and warm! It's absolutely perfect, start to finish.
Easily her best work since BMAMC, I even think this might be her best album? 

I think my favourite after two listens is The Frost, but I also absolutely love the ending choir on I'm Your Man.

My first thought when I started listening to it. It still feels quite unique to Mitski, they are very different artists

 

Anyway on 1st listen is just as gorgeous as I expected. Will definitely be among my top 5 of the year
