Very excited for this, wasn’t a fan of Laurel Hell at all, but iirc in an interview last year she said that the next thing she makes will be different than BTC and LH, so I’m perched to hear what she’ll do next. Would loveeee to hear her experiment with the folkier side of things, Joni-esque almost.

 

Although that album cover is hideous but that’s nothing new for her 😭 she’s like Fiona in that regard

A more stripped back folky concept album sounds INCREDIBLE!!! Really enjoy a lot of the concepts she's mentioned and they all sound interesting and remind me of a lot of the ideas explored in some of the psychedelic folk scene of the 60s. Buffalo Replaced almost reminds me of Buffy Saint-Marie's Now That The Buffalo's Gone in both title and concept
