velocity Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 For pouring pre-made ingredients and mixing them together?
One Rude Boy Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Depends. In the US, if you have the money to not gaf about a dollar then definitely. I always click the middle option then move on
Gorjesspazze9 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 I usually do. But you don’t have to, that’s why it’s called a tip. It’s up to your personal gratuity if you feel like adding on a tip. 🤷♀️
Bloodflowers. Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 No, their employer should be paying them full wage like it's the law in most advanced democracies 2
Communion Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 (edited) Most people would simply tip the change, up to a single or two, from their order. I think people who get "overwhelmed" by those tipping screens are tourists because they lack the nuance and understanding of when it is or isn't a social faux pas to tip. The "tip?" 2nd screen when doing a digital payment is just commonplace at this point and I've never been once ever yelled at or harassed for clicking through it without tipping in places where tipping is not common (7-Eleven's, Wawa's, fast food places, etc.). If anything, the charity fundraisers (where employees get blackmailed into raising the most money by store for recognition) are more annoying cause cashiers actually ask and I gotta be the ******* when the Wawa cashier asks me "would you like to donate a dollar for our troops? :)" to then go "nope, not today :)". Taylucifer Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 for what? unless they’re doing extra service then no
nostalgic Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 If you can afford it and feel like they deserve it, why not

Yeah I even see it a lot in cafes and restaurants here in the UK where we don't really tip at all. I assume it's some kind of default that comes with the software. OT: No and I definitely think if I tried to they'd be a bit taken aback 1
KillingYourCareer Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 We don't have this concept in Italy, is it normal in America to do so?
ScorpiosGroove Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 i don’t pay people for making their job i’m not their employer 2
Badgalbriel Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 For giving me the drink that I'm paying for? No. That's his employee's role. I'm already paying his salary by buying that drink. 1
Daddy Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 I'm a customer, not their employer. I rarely get coffee though.
Mystical Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 No, because I already paid for the drink which includes their wage.
Robert Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Tipping culture as whole is gross. I would do it if I was in the US because the staff need it just not to be homeless but its just ****** up.

Bussea Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 But to answer the question, yes. It’s literally a couple bucks usually and the people who actually groan over this are so annoying Just click no if it bothers you that damn much 2
DamianSolo Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 No. For what? I'll walk/drive up and order, for example, a Venti Caffè Latte with an extra shot. Why do they need a tip for that, for as basic of an order as that is. They're not doing anything extra than what's required of them to do, when I'm already paying for that extra shot. 1
