He filmed the video in front of a courthouse where a black man was lynched after being dragged through the streets on the back of an automobile. All to make a lyrical point that small towns fight back against progressive changes in social policies.

WHAT :rip:

I knew about the lyrics but had no idea about this

I just want to point out even if it's off topic how Miranda Lambert is getting DRAGGED by country fans for telling some girls to stop disrupting her show- while this man and morgan wallen are praised for being racist homophobic ****heads...

He was preforming when the deadliest mass shooting in American History happened right before his eyes. He seems unscathed and continues to glorify gun culture. Quite maddening.

It's now #15 on US Apple Music

And people saying iTunes is dead anyway is a bit incorrect here... That BTS song is also selling a lot right now

it is also #1 in Australia, Canada and New Zealand . they must like their guns and Country as well. surprising support in other countries as well.

Liberals are the biggest promoters of conservatives tbh :dies:

It's kind of true that liberals should just ignore sh*t like this when it comes out since controversy only creates more promo for the song but at the same time conservatives do the exact same thing ALL THE TIME.

Aren't you a full on Republican who declared your undying love for Candace ******* Owens? Of course you like it, what a shocker :toofunny3:

Let me give you an advice sis: when the time comes, the GOP won't see you as one of the "good ones", you'll be send to the camps like everyone else. So try to have some self-respect before it's too late.

It's irrelevant because it won't do nothing on streaming and radio and it will be lucky to chart on the Hot 100  :cm:

If this becomes his biggest hit since his duet with Ludacris in 2011  :skull:

The way this was released two months ago and was doing mediocre on radio and flopping elsewhere, and is now doing numbers just to "own the libs" is so dumb. It's not even a good song (it's not even a good Jason Aldean song, for that matter)

no her and i got into it recently over gay marriage actually, which sparked her doing a podcast on how being gay is mentally ill. I’m not religious and she’s too evangelical. she thinks gays were all molested and there’s rumors her husband is actually dl gay so maybe that’s why she’s like this? i have no idea

Being a Republican honestly sounds so EXHAUSTING. I can’t imagine forcing myself to support everything that’s “anti-woke” and boycott everything that’s “woke” :deadbanana2:

This man looks like a potato that was left in the sun for a week, and after reading the lyrics and about where the video was filmed, I wish nothing but bad things for him. :bird:

His entire catalog is getting a huge boost. The song is definitely going #1 on Apple Music soon.
I agree that liberals need to start ignoring these obvious marketing ploys.

A country song #1 in the UK? :skull:  What is this  :deadbanana2:

and it's now #3 on Apple Music in the US.

Jason Aldean knew what he was doing and liberals fell for it
