1 point difference, this is one of the most tight competitions we’ve seen.

and we were cheering for Seven to beat LN just for that other song to join the race last minute :rip: I hope the non white artists win

one last thing before official chart is that filtering and fraud sale/streams would play a part on counting process and billboard should just go for it. perches for the meltdowns

tour tickets count towards the opening song's streams, cruel summer #1

Wouldn't filtering "fake" sales/streams hurt Junk Kook more? We know BTS have a history of knowing how to game the charts and using any method possible to rack up the points. I think if there are questionable sales that get removed it would more likely be Jung Kook who's the victim. With Jason Aldean I think it's just a case of "He's #1 on iTunes now" being a news story in conservative media and people making their own downloads to show support and keep him #1 as long as possible, I don't think they really understand anything about gaming the charts or anything like that (which is evidenced by how they still think iTunes is a big deal).

That would hurt more Jungkook :skull:  That's why youtube streams are usually lower than expected for k-pop artists.

This!  I don't see those Jason Aldean "fans" making multiple accounts to mass buy a song that wasn't even a contender for #1 until this Friday when we knew it sold over 200k in 2 days. I mean that song is still at full price, if Aldean's team knew it would be a contender for #1 it would have been discounted for sure.

With D2C being banned by Billboard, barely any sales are going to be filtered moving forward. D2C is the main reason many sales got filtered in the past and iTunes & other platforms are probably only reporting their filtered sales anyways (like streaming platforms such as Spotify).

I wonder if Latto and jungkook will get it this week and Jason gets it next week.

Are Jason's points strong enough for  the #1 next week?

At least 1-2 weeks will have someone new.

I really was hoping for Travis to come through but it seems like that won't happen.

Any other big releases in August?

The points are not high so someone else could overtake last night depending on the demand of the song.

It's still #2 on apple music, #1 on youtube, #8 on spotify and #1 on itunes.

But no one knows how much it's selling the last 2 days

Let’s hope the KKK members don’t know how to make multiple Apple accounts to buy more copies :biblio:

We still have Drake pending release. Nicki collab announced, Chris teased. And his tour is a hit thus far. I know some mention “Search & Rescue” but that wasn’t a lead single of his usual caliber. Not a One Dance, Rich Flex etc type of release anyway. And it still did almost 34 million. If he has some actual knocks on the release (Rich Flex, Jimmy Cooks) he’ll be in a position to overtake.

It’s just uncertain when he drops. I thought at the start of the tour this month but at this point he could wait til Fall if he’s still recording on the road.

Otherwise Morgan might just be passing Nas.

When Liberals over react and give attention to something it fuels the artist up the charts. It's like promo.

I was hoping Seven would get it but it looks like Aldean might get two weeks at #1.

Not a racism controversy helped the song.

What’s wrong with people? This is not good and terrifying

i'ma  keep praying, i really want Latto to have a number one ... female rap!!!!!

As someone who genuinely likes country music, it's alarming to see that when an artist or song is accused of racism, it only makes it stronger.

The lyrics and imagery in his song and video are just as disruptive as things I've seen in other songs in videos by other artists in other genres but those in country music can't complain about "wokeness" and then pander right into it.

At some point, it's all a hypocritical circle.
