Cruel Summer is ready to snatch her wigs. but she could stay at #5 if Calm Down start to fall

How many girls have you seen debut at #1 in just their 2nd era? Much less debut top 10 and stay for 3 weeks and have many more to come? People always set the bar way higher than reality and try to troll… Edited July 18, 2023 by PurrKaty

dangerousbutera Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 SZA please do something about Snooze. It's so close to the top 10
pride4jc1222 Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Here’s how Last Night compares with Stay and As It Was (using the current formula) at this point in their runs: As It Was 25th week (15th and final week at #1) -> 195 points STAY 26th week (#2, behind Easy On Me, post holiday season week) -> 205 points Last Night 25th week (predicted 15th week at #1) -> 290+ points As you can see, AIW was a historically weak #1 that benefitted from a lack of competition. Last Night is the strongest #1 in a while. You’d probably have to go back to Despacito (which was in its 9th/10th week at #1 in weeks 25/26) to find a #1 stronger than LN at this point in its run.

Pop music in general is pretty weak right now, with zero strong releases that could challenge for the top spot that are either out or imminently releasing. He just needs five more weeks to tie it.
truthteller Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 radios need to drop that two country tracks already

Diet Pepsi Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Flowers almost out of the top 10 maybe Miley will finally get up & work
pride4jc1222 Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 I found the article for Despacito’s 25th week. AIW, LN, and Stay don’t come close to this. Not even OTR was this dominant. Despacito really was in a league of its own. Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee's 'Despacito' Tops Hot 100 for Ninth Week & Becomes Top Radio Song Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito," featuring Justin Bieber, leads the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated July 22) for a ninth week. It also rises to the top of the Radio Songs chart, becoming the first predominantly Spanish-language song ever to crown the airplay ranking. Plus, French Montana's "Unforgettable," featuring Swae Lee (of Rae Sremmurd), hits the Hot 100's top 10, pushing 13-10. As we do each Monday, let's run down the top 10 of the Hot 100, which blends all-genre streaming, airplay and sales data. All charts will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (July 11), as they do every Tuesday. "Despacito" (released on Universal Music Latino / Raymond Braun / SchoolBoy / Def Jam / UMLE / Republic Records) dominates the Digital Song Sales chart for a 10th week, with 129,000 downloads sold (down 6 percent) in the week ending July 6, according to Nielsen Music; the remix with Bieber accounts for 78 percent of the song's sales (essentially even week-over-week and in line with its 80 percent share the four weeks before that). The track is just the 11th to spend at least 10 weeks at No. 1 on Digital Song Sales and the first since Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You," which tallied 10 beginning Jan. 28. On the Streaming Songs chart, "Despacito" leads for a ninth week, with 61.2 million U.S. streams (down 2 percent) in the week ending July 6. On the all-format Radio Songs chart, "Despacito" rises 2-1 with 149 million in all-format airplay audience (up 5 percent) in the week ending July 9. The collab makes history as the first predominantly Spanish-language song (or any song not sung primarily in English) to reign, dating to the chart's 1990 inception. To compare, the Hot 100's last such No. 1 before "Despacito," Los Del Rio's "Macarena," reached No. 7 on Radio Songs in 1996. One other such song has ascended to the Radio Songs top 10s: Enrique Iglesias' fellow Spanish-language hit "Bailando," featuring Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona (No. 8, 2014; helped by a remix with English lyrics).
spree Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 pretty soon the Top 5 songs of all time will be from the 2020's and onward. Kinda doesn't make sense, does it? 1. Blinding Lights 2. Stay 3. As it Was 4. Last Night 5. Rockstar 6. The Twist
pride4jc1222 Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Winston's predictions (Seven is now predicted to challenge Fast Car for #2):
PurrKaty Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 I don’t like when songs debut #1 just because fans mass farming them and then crumble to oblivion. Like clearly the GP doesn’t know the song exists. But let me give this one a stream to stop Morgan

zhacky98 Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 tbh I wanted Seven to be No. 1 to block Morgan for another week at top.
