KOMH Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 Another week, another record for the woman who has the world enchanted right now. Taylor Swift lands at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), marking the first time since the ARIA Charts started in 1983 that a singer or band has replaced themselves at #1. Midnights had previously spent its 14th non-consecutive week at #1. This is Swift’s 11th #1 album in Australia, three of which are re-recordings of old albums. The original version of Speak Now spent one week at #1 in 2010. Upon its release, the new album became Spotify’s most-streamed for a single day for 2023 and the most-streamed country album in a single day in Spotify history. Taystralia showing out. 1
babycomeround Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 (edited) Wow, she is literally dominating the charts with 6 different eras. Has this ever been done before? Feels unprecedented. Edited July 14, 2023 by babycomeround

What we are not going to do is basically say "who cares about that KKK Swiftie if she's still selling shitload of albums?". OT: It's absolutely massive what she's doing in Australia. A re-recording of Speak Now, her entire pure pop discography + folklore being top 10 all at once is truly insane. And I'm really surprised no one ever replaced themselves at #1 on the album chart. Truly the biggest artist in Australia. 1 1

As long as Taylor stays true to her principles, idc about the beliefs of other swifties Edited July 14, 2023 by iam1925 add 1

You are more than welcome to make fun of the stupid dancing skills drags, but not in any way about this situation. This is not ok, no matter if it's a KKK stan or an OTH, I don't care. Joking about this is not ok. 1
naval23 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 The fact she has 5 albums in the top 5 - imagine if they each took a turn going back to #1 and she replaced herself 5 times
