RideOrDie Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 i mean she is a child of lana (like many other) so yes but ethel queen is talented enough to create her own sound and carve her own path 2
ScorpiosGroove Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 yes in the sense that she’s obviously inspired by Lana but this is also doesn’t sound like the usual lana copies and no cause AT sounds more like a taylor song but actually good 1
shookspeare Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 She definitely gives me strong Lana vibes, first time I heard Preacher's Daughter there were several moments when I thought she sounded just like Lana. She manages to be distinct though
May Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 yeah but her output is 10x better than what Lana serves lately 1
Orsay Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 a bit but she has her own thing, puts a unique spin on it when Lana does Americana, its always about the iconic coastal areas - Brooklyn, California, Florida when Ethel does Americana, the focus is middle America, the part no one cares about - that house in Nebraska, etc 1
