LastKiss Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 someone do something for evermore, she deserves to cross 10m at least

Steve Johnson Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Evermore sweetie, get behind me. OT: Legend among legends
Timber Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 (edited) Bigger than Whitney and Barbra is insane. If she keeps going an average of 2m per month she will surpass ABBA by September, Mariah by April of next year, Celine by March of 2025, and Madonna by March of 2027. Tbh, I only imagine it actually happening faster since she'll be releasing more and more stuff. Um, MJ, Elvis, and the Beatles are actually not safe at this point. Edited July 12, 2023 by Timber 1

Global? She's still pretty local. And CSPC isn't that great of a metric to compare streaming era music to Barbra and Celine's pure sales. Free streams count for a huge chunk of Taylor's units post-1989. 2 16

She was just a high school girl when this album was written and recorded. Than her dominant era started. 20 Million and in sales units per album, Speak Now the only flaw to that (But Speak Now TV will push it closer to 20M). Than came 5 more studio albums. Unfortunately people compare them to her 20M sellers and overlook how hard and unrealistic it is to keep such a high standard. Only 4 female artists have more than two gigantic 20M sellers. Regardless 10 Million per album (with a little flaw that is Evermore) is fantastic this far out in her career. Even if she declines to a lower standard that is 5M per album would be great now. She will win her 4th IFPI award this year, lost two of them because of BTS. But this year and next year she is the favorite. In 2023 Taylor is: The world‘s best selling artist Spotify‘s most streamed artist The world‘s highest grossing touring artist The world‘s highest earning celebrity A favorite at the Grammys, BBMA‘s, AMA‘s to win multiple awards Speak Now, RED, 1989, Fearless, Reputation, and Midnights are all gearing for eventually hitting 20M like Does no one realize how unprecedented that level of slayage is? Her debut yeehaw era is eventually cracking 15M with the TV too like If you even wanna fight for it you can say Evermore stats should just be tacked onto Folklore

Not the same **** again and again. Because popper gays don't use her in Legoslavostovakia she's not global? Most global popgirls are local to America and Europe yet no one questions them whilst Taylor has a chokehold on the entirety of North America, Asia and Oceania yet she's local? 3 4 2

She still has a minimum of 2 more Midnights level eras too If she gives us a career reinvention like the long proposed poprock era its OVER for these girls!

Jjang Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 Aren’t Whitney’s/Barbra’s sales not updated for years, though? Madonna’s haven’t been updated in 7 years too. Big achievement regardless.

luckythisway Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 Absolutely insane. Her acumen as a businesswoman is unmatched & unprecedented
Xtripped Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 Insane number, we better start streaming Evermore.

pepsimanvn Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 Taylorrrrrr, can you please stop this slayage. My OTH ass needs minimum 2 therapy sessions just to mentally cope with this CM update. Pls send help 1 1
The Music Industry Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 Where are our resident OTHs that normally camp in the first page of every Taylor-related threads?
Aethereal Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 She's at 135M albums at best. The formula is inflating her success. 1500 streams do not equal an album regardless of who says it. 2

It’s a weird formula I agree, but I think the vast majority of albums bought are not listened to 1500 times at all.

Even if she doesn't slow down and keeps doing 17~20M units / year for the next 4 years she would still not reach Madonna by 2027. I think she's gonna need at least 7 to 10 years before becoming the undisputed biggest female artist of all time. Exactly. She definitively has the potential to surpass Madonna eventually (in fact i think she's the only one who can do it) but she still has a long way to go.
