I mean, I predicted 650k for this (and I think the predictions will obviously rise), so if this is indeed the ballpark it’s in that’s what I expected, but this is a very confusing statement.

It is less loved than Red imo, but it does also have a cult following, but every album of her have a cult following at this point sans maybe Debut. Also we cannot ignore the fact she is at her peak again. 

 

It will do better than Red I think. I am predicting 1m but anything around RED TV is great since Speak Now originally was not that big itself other than the 1m debut. Its rollout and singles were a mess.

Well for one they undershipped vinyl for Red, and it was sold out for months.

This sounds about right to me just based on hype tbh. She herself is much bigger, but there is no ATW10MV to really carry this on streaming beyond the initial couple days of novelty.

I mean it obvs cannot be just vinyls, but them predicting the total with SPS is also dumb, the album had only been out for 12 hours. Literally no streaming data available minus the first US Apple Music numbers that came in this morning

While it's less well-loved than Red, historically, I'd point to a few things that could help it out:

• The Eras Tour has significantly increased her consumption in the US for her entire catalog, on top of the increase it got from the Midnights era before the tour
• Less of the general public has consumed Speak Now overall, so people are less likely to think "I already know that album so there's no point in getting it again"
• Unlike the Red TV release, she has three major hit singles out right now helping to boost her profile with the public
• Dedicated fans are going to stream it and buy it anyway, in no less significant numbers than they did Red TV, because they're likely to be excited either for Speak Now itself or for the rerecordings and vault tracks in general
• Vinyl production for Speak Now TV has increased significantly over that of Red TV, which ran into major supply issues and sold less vinyl in its first week than Speak Now TV has already done in US pre-orders alone

So while it's not guaranteed by any means, the circumstances are right for it to possibly happen. It's basically the perfect moment to drop this album, and it's possible that Speak Now overcomes Red's critic and fan acclaim to debut higher (and maybe even move more units long-term).

I mean it has sold around 5-6M in the US, i'd say it was a pretty big album. It's just that the singles themselves weren't huge hits.

Does she sell vinyls and cds at the tour stop in Kansas? If yes, pure sales may even go up significantly like when she sold the deluxe versions of Midnights at the tour. 
Stream will keep increasing if she performs some SNTV at the Kansas concerts. This woman is surely a marketing genius. 
btw, unpopular opinion but I think Foolish one is the best FTV track though all FTV tracks are so good.
