The GUI is nice. It's kinda laggy. I hate the fact it lacks a search engine for posts.

It looks cute but it's so dumb how you have to keep your Instagram name. I have my full name as my Instagram name but I don't want it on Threads.

Anyway the streets are saying this is a flop, the enforced linking of accounts is awful

The linking account thing is annoying. But it at the same time it’s harder for people to just troll. It needs things like trending, a media gallery, etc. as of now it seems bare bones.

Yeah after a few hours with the app me thinks I’ll be using threads for actual SM use and retire my twitter usage to just XXX

I’m willing to put up with Threads’ growing pains if that means we can stop being dependent on Elon at some point. 

 

Hopefully they sort out the EU GRDP soon.

It's kinda lame so far... the connection to Instagram is a turnoff. But I'm going to give it some time to grow.

That’s what it is mostly. Like as much as I hate to say it. The edginess of twitter is what makes it enjoyable. Threads just feels like a more casual LinkedIn.
