Aston Martin Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 As much as I hate to say this, Threads is not going to kill Twitter in the way it could if they don't allow mature content. That's one of the major things people still use Twitter for, and any alternative needs to do the same if they actually want to outcompete it. 1

Gladiator Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 (edited) I hope this has some impact, if only for the sake of pressuring new decisions - Twitter has such a saturation in that particular kind of media. It seems like all the social media networks fell into their own niche, so one having proper competition with another is a big thing. I hope this does not flop, but I do suspect it will be wasted effort. Edited July 4, 2023 by Gladiator

mathekr Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 I wish bluesky would hurry up their launch because they are the most promising alternative to twitter. Also, Meta monopolizing social media doesn't sit right with me. 2
FENTY. Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 I am pretty sure they will have the rights to music so that’s already better for stan twitter. Fans get suspended all the time for using music videos because twitter is the only social media app that doesn’t have license of any kind. Like you can’t even make your fave go viral without getting DMCA
