Mariah releasing Triumphant as her comeback single, the featured artists are more present on the song than her She didn't have a better song to be a single? Madonna releasing MDNA… one of the worst albums of the decade. I don't know how Interscope listened to it and thought it was good enough to be released. Christina taking too long to release Liberation, it could have been released in 2016 instead of 2018. Maybe it would have done better.

They already filmed a whole music video - Not collabing with Michelle Branch in 2003 - Don't Tell Me as a lead when MY HAPPY ENDING WAS RIGHT THERE - Not giving Keep Holding On a music video and more promo - Not making Innocence and Runaway singles - Not including I Will Be on the standard album - Not releasing anything in 2009. She had a whole album ready but label went "No." - Releasing Smile instead of Wish You Were Here as the 2nd single - AL5 - Not releasing Love Sux the lead single of Love Sux album
