Not directly music related but Britney being a judge on The X Factor was such a bizarre and left field choice for her considering that she genuinely despises public speaking and had previously (and pretty recently before) said when asked that she would never be a judge on a TV show. Then suddenly a couple of months later she was confirmed for XF :rip:

I guess it does kind of make sense why she ended up doing it though since the conservatorship had to find a way to keep her making money on a year she wasn't touring and the idea of her taking time to relax was out of the question :shakeno:

Having just watched the Trainwreckord video, I’m baffled to why Ringo thought disco was a good idea.

Releasing Britney Jean did more damage than good. Both the fans and GP hated it and with Work ***** being the only memorable thing to come from it a full album wasn’t needed. Especially if it was going to be phoned in like it was. Releasing Scream & Shout, Work ***** and few other stand alone singles and features between 2013-2015 would of been better.

Christina with changing her style of music with every album too. It’s hard enough to keep a fan base when you take such long breaks and to come back with a new sound with every album was alienating the fan base she had.

Gaga releasing TFM as a EP instead of a stand alone album. The Fame was already a massive success, it didn’t need a EP to boost the sales. TFM could of sold a lot more had it been a full album and had a couple more singles.

Ariana not capitalizing thank you next. Dropping a 69 remix that no one asked, and not releasing POV and Motive as singles.

This made a lot of sense and makes even more sense now given how (particularly USA) has gotten even more puritanical and pearl clutching over the years?? Queen behavior then, legend behavior now.

The Fame and The Fame Monster eras should've lasted longer.

Justin T. focusing on movies for a few years  only to have most of them be panned and flopped.

Give Me All Your Luvin'

Formation's release

She Loves Control not a single

Several songs by miss Americana not being a single (at least she's making it up now with Cruel Summer, hopefully Getaway Car and Don't Blame Me get their flowers someday as well)

  • Me! when Cruel Summer was right there :rip:
  • Stupid Lurve when Alice was right there :rip:
  • Kesha not releasing The Harold Song as the third single from Cannibal :chick3: Gaga had three smashes from TFM, why couldn't Kesha experience the same? the concept of releasing Cannibal was totally modeled after TF/TFM soooooo like ???
  • having R. K*lly on Do What U Want when she could've had like The Weeknd or just anyone else ffs :rip: or even the Christina version would've been great on the album!!
  • Gaga not releasing Boys Boys Boys as a single! TFM could've waited another few months imo, it would've still smashity smashed
  • I Really Like You when Run Away with Me was RIGHT! THERE!!! :cries:
  • Kelly not releasing any music videos this era... like what...
  • Taylor not releasing a single before Midnights will always irk me a bit because the hype was ASTRONOMICAL with that Midnight at Midnights thing on tiktok

- Releasing When You’re Gone as the follow up to Girlfriend :rip:

- Cannibal only having two official singles, also pushing C’mon and Crazy Kids (Both of which I love) when Warrior had arguably much better options

- Katy and her team refusing to release Legendary Lovers, Walking on Air or basically anything other than Birthday and This Is How We Do

- Taylor has quite a lot of missed opportunities in the singles department but she can afford it when her back catalog performs so well

- The Veronicas shelving a whole album when their single In My Blood went number 1 in Australia :rip: (and then releasing two albums full of previously released or leaked tracks plus scraps from over the years. I mean I ate it all up but like…)

Releasing OLAS to Pop Radio. Contrary to popular belief, radio WAS willing to give Hilary a chance initially with So Yesterday peaking at #14, the Coke Clean at #9. She never quite recovered from OLAS being sent to radio and peaking at #38.

it was the pandemica and social uprising, Gags should've promoted the era later though esp during the tour
