Minogue Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 (edited) Ugh Im stuck trying to put my chest on the bar. I definitely have enough strength to do it since I can perform about 20 pull ups in 1 set but trying to do muscle up is a ***** Edited July 1, 2023 by Minogue
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted July 1, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted July 1, 2023 Yeah, try to learn the crossfit/kipping version first and then transition to the strict version after that.

Kern Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 (edited) I've been going to the gym for half a year now, even had some sessions with personal trainer because I really want to commit but I still feel like such a ugly noob, I will never be hot and able to perfrom this excersise Edited July 1, 2023 by the70s
Specter Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 I can't do more than 5 pull ups (on a good day), and I'm always fearing for my LIFE when I do them cause I have an elbow thing. Really wish I had the money to keep a trainer around for long, largely for confidence/support I'll never get anywhere with my self-defeatist attitude.

Kummercell Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 I injured both my shoulders badly as a teenager so I can't even attempt to do this lol
JoeAg Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 idk if i can I've been working on my triceps a lot at the gym these past few months, and my chest and biceps and abs too, along with a LOT of treadmill running, but this past week and a half my bestie and i have been a bit sick so we've not been going. but this coming week i plan to get back on schedule!
bestfiction Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 Not yet but I've been going to gym for the last 6 months so it's a matter of time
bad guy Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 Yeah but not many. I was focusing more on strength training so all my calisthenic abilities decreased a bit. I can do 4 x 12 of pull ups though.
Mtjjproducer Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 Yes I do CrossFit. Most I’ve ever done was like 7 in a row. I won’t be able to do them for several months after my shoulder surgery.
cockatoo Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 I used to be quite good at pull ups but I don't really do them anymore. I never tried a muscle up though because the top part is basically a dip and I ****** up my shoulder for like 9 months by doing dips in the past
M.R. Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 Not the full movement but desperately trying to do at least one proper. It’s so hard and feels like I’m going to rip my shoulder.
