Ms. Togekiss Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 the garbz and BTS are over omg nicki about to go from #7-#40 to #30-OUT 14
Kylizzle Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 Olivia finally getting justice just in time for Vampire
shelven Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 Oh wow, they actually listened SUCH a common sense change. Artist-run webstores' complete lack of transparency combined with how easy they are to abuse by fans meant they would always be a blatant tool for chart manipulation, regardless of which fandoms pounced on it the most. A big win for chart accuracy 3
Bonicap Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 Great. That's what iTunes is for (even if no one organically buys songs anymore).

Superbitch Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 Oh they’re tired of the Barbiez cheating for one week buying 12366 versions and then dropping like a rock. 2 minutes ago, Ms. Togekiss said: the garbz and BTS are over omg nicki about to go from #7-#40 to #30-OUT Not even 7 cuz mass buy is how they get the peak they brag about even tho the whole run can be 30-35-50-55-60 just cuz of the first week peak
Hector Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 How are the BTS Army going to game the system now? They never counted on the Billboard Global 200, so it was only a matter of time. This shouldn't affect Taylor too much either, though she benefitted from this practice too.

ATRL Moderator wehavetostan Posted June 30, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 30, 2023 Well at least Olivia did CDs and vinyls
Cruel Summer Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 1 minute ago, Hector said: This shouldn't affect Taylor too much either, though she benefitted from this practice too. Yeah. Mostly she'll have to rely a little more on real streaming and radio support for some singles' peaks. For example, I'm sure her team has considered remixes for Cruel Summer to push it to #1 if it gets within reach sometime in July or August, and now that kind of thing will be a little harder to do. I could see Taylor and a few other artists pivoting to CD singles, though! Way faster to produce than vinyl and still count when shipped.
ATRL Moderator wehavetostan Posted June 30, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 30, 2023 Taylor really sold 300k+ digital sales from her website and she’ll still be able to go number one good luck to the others tho
MusicLoverDude Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 Should've done this ages ago when BTS ****** up Summer of 2021 - blocking Olivia from more weeks at #1 and Industry Baby from debuting at #1 and Happier than Ever from debuting in the Top 10. Taylor will be ok since she has proven that she can sell and her stans are smart. They need to reduce the impact of radio though 5 2
