I'm kinda shook that Kelly's new album outsold Carrie's new album in first week sales, and by 2x.

you are the one who brought Avril here :rip: . Fighting with you makes me feel like i'm losing my brain.

Let me do a quick math here:

Kelly Us sales: 53K, UK sales: 3K, Japan sales: 0K

Avril Us sales: 30K, UK sales, 14k, Japan sales: 11,5K

So based on 3 markets they are equal but Avril outsold Kelly everywhere else including the rest of Asia, Germnay (which is the 3rd biggest market where she debuted at #6 while Kelly debuted at #81) and Australia. It's clearly Avril outsold Kelly.

Clearly she didn't.. DM me the receipts or it didn't happen.

We haven't got Kelly's full worldwide sales yet lmao

Move along this isn't a thread about the flop

Us is the biggest market and she dominated her there

Exactly you can't post any kind of receipts cause Kelly outsold :ahh:

Also someone needs to work on their math skills

Those 3 markets equal 55,500

Kelly with UK sales is 56,000 oop

It woulda been well over 60k if it wasn't for the writers strike lmao

They gave a breakdown of 3 markets and they were equal based on those, Avril’s positions on every other country were much higher and Bite Me had more streams before release than all of chemistry’s songs combined. I don’t see the point on arguing here :rip:

55.5k isn't equal to 56k

And what did those streams get her? #20.bubbling under. She performed  Bite Me a few times Kelly sang Mine once

Bite me stalled at #20 on Hot AC radio

Mine is currently #12

I'm waiting for the worldwide receipts

The fact that you talking irrelevant streams I could talk about the fact that Avril sold 19k actual album sales and Kelly sold 43k :rip:

This thread is a microcosm of this dying music industry. We aren't discussing about the two up and coming artists, in Young Thug and Peso Pluma, or the album that has spent 15 weeks at #1. We're talking about Kelly Clarkson, and how she compares with Carrie Underwood and Avril Lavigne. These artists are in their late 30s/early 40s, and outside of Kelly's Christmas classic, haven't had a hit in a long time.

Over 80% of overall music consumption in the industry is now “irrelevant streams”. It is what it is.

Radio is a promo tool, not a chart achievement which is more consistent exposure than those Avril performances.

Avril did better in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Spain, etc. but are nitpicking 500 copies of 3 countries? :rip:

This is not even on topic so why even spark the discussion.

Again I'm waiting for the sales receipts

I'm talking about streams for the

flop single you mentioned

It's still doing better on radio lmao

We don't have Kelly's full ww sales yet

Kelly also did 53k during a writers strike with promo it woulda been well over 60k n the US

I will say that for years ATRL used Carrie to attack Kelly and outside of Stronger, she was absolutely undermined over the last decade

so this is an interesting turn of events nonetheless

could've been debuted with less than 30K without vinyl. Fans probably bought both standard and vinyl edition.

It’s so crazy to see so many TS albums charting in the top 15 simultaneously like this.

And with SNTV I’m sure it’ll smash even more after.

Crazy times
