How do you care for and style your hair?

What's your routine and products do you use to take care of your hair?

Me I only use shampoo (Selsun Blue because I have oily hair), and then I use this hair tonic/scalp treatment Yves Rocher Rinsing Vinegar Shine. And then the only hair tools that I use is this wooden comb by The Body Shop, because apparently wood combs make less static to your hair. I shampoo like once every 2-3 days, I sleep on silk pillow case to make my hair less messy and dry in the morning. And I never dry my hair with towels, I use used but rather clean t-shirts.

I use Alpecin once a day, then part it down the middle

I usually shampoo my hair twice a week using this Jamaican Black Castor Oil shampoo that I have then condition it afterwards. However at the moment, I have twists so I just stick to conditioning it as too much washing will undo the twists.

I am rocking a buzzcut at all times. I hate having hair, but I can not pull off being bald so I do what I can. :rip:

Yall only shampoo 2 days a week? I feel dirty if I don't wash it daily

I have long hair and dye it often so I use products meant for colored hair. I recently bought dry shampoo (for colored hair) for the first time but haven't used it yet.

Wash daily with head and shoulders (only shampoo I can use otherwise I get dandruff :emofish:)

My hair is black and straight and gets oily easily which is why I have to wash daily :cm:

Idt you're supposed to shampoo your hair every day... Maybe it just depends on your hair type. My hair is oily yes, but if I shampoo everyday it'll get dry and produces more oil.

I read t-shirts are softer to your hair, causes less friction. Maybe it's just placebo but it works better for me

that's kind of a backhanded compliment

I keep my hair relatively short (short sides + medium on top) the majority of the time because it's curly and very annoying to maintain but normally my routine goes like

- wash with Head & Shoulders

- keep hair completely wet and add leave in conditioner & gel

- let it air dry until 70% dry

- diffuse until it's almost completely dry

- fluff it and it's done

That's on most days but if I'm lazy I use a towel and flatten it as much as possible and let it dry but it eventually takes back most of it's shape and curls up again when it's dry but if its hot or humid it just becomes a poof :dies: which is why I like it pretty short

I use head and shoulders (the one with the apple on it) every other day.

I do wash it every day tho with water.

I always let it air dry

My hair is naturally wavy so I just part it a bit with my hands while it's damp and let it do its thing :bird:

It's SO ******* thick.

If I use warm water I can make it curly.

I also trim it a bit every 3 months

It's a lot of work since I got or had bright blue hair for ages, then trying to keep purple/blue work for 3 years before that

I'm lazy and depressed so going blonde just so I don't have to maintain it as much :chick3:

I honestly try not to wash my hair more then twice a work and it keeps the color and keeps it from going greasy way too quick

Dry Shampoo helps a lot too

I just get it cut in long layers with a slight face frame. I have wavy/ frizzy hair and if you layer it too much especially in the humidity of the summer it just poofs up.

I use these products and let my hair air dry. They help combat the frizz and make my hair lay a little smoother and add a bit of sheen.

Shine lux oil:  goes into my hair damp after washing and I just let it soak in and air dry.

and on days where I’ve worked out but don’t feel like washing my hair I’ll just use this cleansing hair conditioner that just refreshes your hair and cleans it slightly until your next hair wash.

In my late 20s my hair has started to grow straight forward, just straight out, and I don't know what to do. For years I've parted it near the middle and sweeped the two waves back, but that doesn't work anymore. No hair style works anymore. My hair comes forward no matter how hard I try to train it, no matter how I comb it or style it. I always look like Melania Trump after five minutes.
