Should EDM pop make a comeback?

A lot of the songs from the 2010s EDM pop era didn't age well... (with the exception of Calvin Harris' Summer and a few others). They sound v of their time so I'd go with no tbh

The problem is I think most people with me included are just nostalgic for that era while in reality that music was sometimes pretty horrible and embarassing

I always tell my friends that the whole world is depressed because they listen to such self deprecating music - someone needs to drop a teenage dream/only girl in the world type smash

please no, i can't believe we're already getting to a point where people are getting nostalgic over the cheap EDM of the 2010s

 

im very happy with the disco/ house revival right now and it seems like hyperpop is slowly inching its way towards the mainstream, which is good to see. if anything i'd be here for a garage or drum'n'bass revival
