2019 - Finished exchange to Mexico, better social skills, got my driver's license.

2023 - Saw Coldplay twice, Taylor is probably coming soon.

2022 - Attended college in person for the first time, made new friends.

2018 - Exchange to Mexico started in August, the rest was unremarkable.

2021 - Not bad, but also inmemorable.

2020 - I gained a bit of weight back, barely got out of my house, online college sucks.

2022 - I Got To Meet and hang out with Allday

2019 - Still had my social life and was actually a good year.

2018: -I still had a life and friends then and a really cute BF before I ****** it up.

2021: It wasn't bad, was a little boring but at least I had a bf (my last one)

2020: even though it was covid, I enjoyed the lockdown.

2023: Nothing has happened, I've been single all year... thinking my life is over and now im just in limbo.

i counted 6 but only because life just got worse. :skull:

From best to worst:

  1. 2018 (one of the best years of my life, I learned to go out more during college and made multiple friends, got to make so many fond memories exploring places like Los Angeles and Death Valley that I still cherish to this day)
  2. 2022 (had some postgrad depression here and there but overall it was an amazing year, got my first full-time job offer and got my own place for the first time, I actually ended up quitting the job since it became toxic but that wasn't until 2023 lol)
  3. 2020 (the first two months of this year were some of the best of my life, I was recovering from a really bad year and was really enjoying my time in college, even when the pandemic started and lockdowns happened I adjusted to the pandemic relatively well at first)
  4. 2021 (very stressful year for me as I had to complete an honor's thesis in the middle of a pandemic and figure out what to do after graduation - this amongst other things ultimately made me have a breakdown and a mental health relapse, the challenges I faced were worse than 2019 but I guess technically it was a better year since I at least knew hope to cope with them)
  5. 2019 (literally the worst year of my life yet as I had my first battle with depression and anxiety and didn't know how to cope, retrospectively though it was a very transformative year for me and I learned a lot from it)

From the looks of it, 2023 seems like a relatively good year. As I hinted, I ended up quitting a job that became toxic back in March with no backup plan, but I'm enjoying life at the moment and I'm excited to see what's in store for me.

2018 > 2020 > 2019 > 2021 = 2022

Recent years haven't been bad, but less eventful than 2018 -> 2020. I made some big moves in my personal life, social relationships, and career within those years.

Adding 2023 onto this would just be 2021 = 2022 = 2023...

2022: I was literally undergoing my best transformation academically, mentally, aesthetically, socially. Best time of my life.

2020: Is it bad to say that I enjoyed the online, at-home life? Maybe that's just the socially anxious introvert in me speaking. Also I landed a scholarship which saved me from dropping out of my degree so

2023: Everything went physical and it became a lot more chaotic. I'd put this in the mid-tier, but if things go south, it might actually be the second worst after 2019.

2021: Pandemic, was an outcast in a small-number residential college, took on too many online projects that it affected my GPA. But socially it was great.

2019: I was depressed for months and almost offed myself. Not an era I wanna come back to.

A lot of significant events for me actually have been happening for me in September and have been marking a new year moreso than January tbh...

With that being said, I'd rank them as follows:

Sep 2021 - Sep 2022

Sep 2022 - May 2023

Sep 2018 - Sep 2019

Sep 2019 - Sep 2020

Sep 2020 - Sep 2021

But honestly those bottom two were baddddddd
