Why do people care about online music reviewers?

Just curious about this topic.  But all these pages over a album reviewed by Ajay cause she didn't like an album.  Why does it matter?  What are her qualifications? Is she in the music industry or work for a prestigious magazine like P4k etc. in the past there was Dylan and some other reviewers theyre just for fun but it seems like people take them seriously. Why?

They need someone to relate to because people offline really don’t care at all about thier pop faves. They need validation

She’s not even a certified reviewer she’s just popular. :dies: stans are actually insane.

I wonder the same thing. I'll admit that Ajay at least has interesting takes, but I never understood ATRL's obsession with Dylan. He was just some bland straight guy.

It’s funny to see how other people react over something you like. That’s it. No science

You don't find it fun to watch someone get their life to a dance album? Sad lol.

When people are insecure about their taste in art, they see it as a personal attack when someone dislikes something that they like

Also the fact you're using pop psychology as a clapback on a pop music forum... the jokes really do write themselves

Anyway, I agree with this. It's fun to see other people enjoy your fave's music I guess. But stans are such weirdos when the reviewer doesn't like the music. Like, move on with your day.

Reviews are pointless, but people often need validation and community. For this same reason, reviews can be detrimental: if a reviewer confirms biases one is elated but, if not, one feels attacked. Life is simple when we focus on love and understand that not everyone will have the same taste

Merci :celestial:

I like reading reviews just so I can accurately describe why I like or dislike something I don't watch or care for reaction bait videos regardless of wether or not my fave is being praised or not :gaycat6:
