Penicillin G Benzathine Injection. Literally passed out because of the pain. Remember that scene on X Men 2 were a mutant gets stabbed with a needle and gets injected with a liquid metal thing and ends up dying? That was how it felt. :rip:

Also appendicitis. The worst part of it is it can last for days.

WAIT THATS INSANEEEE that you mentioned this. I literally came here to post this. My former fwb gave me oral gonorrhea, so I had to go to my doc to get the vaccine. I got it on my butt and I literally was WRITHING in pain. The nurse gave me the heads up that it's going to be painful , but I was NOT expecting it to be that bad. She told me she's seen grown men cry over it, she was impressed that I was just tolerating the pain.

Never again.

When I had food poisoning and went back to work. My stomach was cramping SO much that I thought something was about to climb out of me :deadbanana2:

I went to the dentist to have a tooth removed that was causing issues for a long time, the dentist seemed a bit unsure about taking the tooth out but said confidently that she would be able to do it. When she was in the process of taking it out the tooth cracked completely. She stopped suddenly and said "whoops" and then basically rushed me out of the room. Then she said that the root couldn't be taken out and part of the nerve was left exposed, I went home with the root and exposed nerve without any follow up and some meds for the pain.

That was a Thursday, the next day I was in horrid pain even with the meds and unable to eat at all. I went to the dentist again hoping it would be finally resolved or maybe referred to someone more capable and she was surprised that I was in any pain at all and didn't bother to offer a follow up or a recommendation. This being a Friday meant that anyone else would be closed for the weekend. The weekend was ******* awful and unbearable, I barely ate anything and what I did eat was through a straw. Monday came and I went to an oral surgeon in another city who could only book me for the day after, I finally had a procedure to take the rest of the tooth out on that Tuesday, my jaw felt like it was going to explode but nothing compares to those days in between, literal torture.

Safe to say I never ever went to that dentist again.

Wisdom tooth infection and catheter removal are up there for me :gaycat7:

Sprain my elbow lifting heavy books that I got from Logros for school. It was fine at first, until the next day I was at school writing notes for my classes(for an entire day), my elbow become inflamed and filled with liquid. I had to take medicine to make the swelling go down.

It literally was the worst pain I had felt, I cried at the doctor office and felt like my arm was on fire. Moving it was a nightmare because it was like a noodle and the pain from moving made it so hard to sleep.  I had to live with for a few days, and despite the pain is gone, sometimes I can feel the tugging sensation when I lift anything heavy.

Oh and the time I had to go to the E & R for dengue (internal bleeding & abdominal pain), I am still traumatized by mostiquitos and only long sleeze clothing in my house. However that was more psychological damage than physical. I thought I was gonna die.

The way mine isn’t as bad as all of yours (and hopefully it stays that way). :rip:

Bone fissure

Posted

Worst pain was probably Broken shoulder in rugby practice spring 2010, though the worst of the pain took several days to set in. I've had severe migraines, some of my worst which preceded a fall 2015 spinal vertebrae fusion. Also, my 2nd knee operation required drilling holes in my left femur to restimulate bone growth. Those all hurt like hell.

Anal Fissure. Every bowel movement was like being sliced open with glass for a week. Would get lightheaded and profusely sweat each time. Even lidocaine cream could only do so much. Thank god I discovered Psyllium Husk after that. Game  changer.

I felt a sharp pain on my arm and the raccoon bit a chunk of my forearm. It had a grip until I managed to shake it off and the cops heard and it ran off. Thankfully they killed it a few minutes later.

This is why you should never pay for a Taylor Momsen meet & greet.

I herniated a disc in my neck and the herniation was protruding onto my spinal cord causing me to be nearly paralyzed. I could not sit, lay down, or stand for too long without immense pain - and I could not get it fixed through surgery for at least 6 months. Had I gone longer, the neurosurgeon said it could have caused me to become fully paralyzed. I remember sleeping was the worst and I was in legitimate agony some nights. I would not wish that pain upon anyone, except maybe the worst of the worst in our civilization.

I had a similar experience but with my lower back instead. I couldn't sleep on the bed because there was just no possible position wherein there wasn't any pain. The pain itself I could tolerate but having it constantly there when I want to sleep was very bothersome. I'm not sure how but I didn't trigger the pain when I slept on my computer chair so that's how I slept for a few nights before getting a checkup and being put on pain meds/muscle relaxants. Thankfully my slipped disc didn't need surgery. I hope you're doing well. I know how difficult it is to have gone through that since now we have to be extra careful and mindful about our back.

Omg yes!!! The pain was unbearable and nonstop. I caused a scene in the ER and still can’t believe I wasn’t reprimanded for it.

Crohn’s Disease flare up

As a fellow Crohnie, I can definitely say waking up after my ostomy surgery was 100x worse than any flare up pain I had ever had.

Teeth pain is the worse, I swear.
but a good runner up is when I had tendonsitis in my ankle for like 3 weeks straight back in the Winter. I was working 2 jobs too, but I literally would scream in public everyday walking. It was unbearable cuz it hurt when you move and even when you lay still. It’s like never ending tourture. I’m not even exaggerating. **** that

When I caught Mono freshman year of college. Omg the pain in my throat!!!

Posted (edited)

When I was in high school I was crossing the cross walk and some guy hit me and ran me over with his truck, he kept trying to get over my body but his truck was just dragging me into the intersection, my pelvic bone was cracked in half and I had tread marks left on my skin from the tires burning through my clothes. I couldn't walk for 4 months. I was literally screaming for help and people were just sitting in their vehicles honking until finally someone came running over waving his arms to make the guy stop. Which thank god he did because his truck almost made it over me and if it did he would've ran over my head.
