I don’t think anything would have prevented this situation though. People, him included, use the term for emphasis no matter their race. Should they? No. But I don’t think him having a clean slate socially/online would have a difference. I think is the best way the situation was handled… he violated the rules, whether he intended to offend or not, and was rightfully booted

HOWEVER, the Big Brother casting department is such a joke I can’t believe they continue to bring in these problematic contestants year after year? This has been the narrative for BB since I’ve started watching and they haven’t even tried to vet their contestants any better and I’m annoyed that this will likely continue 

To be fair, there's a chance this has happened on every related show out there. See The Challenge with the Leroy and Camila fight. It was completely edited out. The only thing about Big Brother is there are Live Feeds. If every reality show had this it would be everywhere

Expelling him seems rather dramatic for what he said tbh 💀like there wasn’t even any ill intent behind what he said at all.

Bingo. It’s no surprise it’s always Big Brother in this situation. Bc it’s the only reality format that everyone can see 24/7 and even then production does what they can to try to hide what doesn’t suit them. This happens on a lot of shows, we just don’t see it.
