I honesty don’t think they sound anything a like besides being pop.

Two albums using real instruments and suddenly they sound the same :deadbanana: ATRL for you

High was for Fifty Shades Freed
Swan Song was for Alita: Battle Angel
Can They Hear Us? was for Gully

I completely forgot about the bop that is High :jonny4: I myself added it to the Complete Edition on my apple music lol

It's a cute song for a soundtrack and sounds like a bop pop!

this SOUNDS amazing, she is the New Donna Summer

This will probably lead into DUA3

which is really smart instead of pushing a new lead campaign right away.

not her wasting the excitement and build up on a song that will 100% flop :rip:

I'm still excited regardless but we REALLY needed DL3's lead...

or a 100% hit that will cannibalize the DL3 era knowing the longevity of her hits.  :duck:

Song of the summer. Song of the year. Song of the decade :WAP:

She will just pretend this is the lead to DL3 if it turns out to be another monster smasha like DSN / Levitating

Dua Lipa’s brow is furrowed, as if she is trying to crack a particularly knotty trigonometry problem. On a cloudy May afternoon, she stands behind a stately vintage mixing desk in Manhattan’s exclusive Jungle City Studios with folded arms and a wide stance as $40,000 speakers blast out her effervescent, currently unfinished, theme song for Barbie, Greta Gerwig’s DayGlo study of life in plastic. I can take the heat / baby best believe, that’s the moment I shine,” she sings, her words punctuated by handclaps. With ribbony strings and bass that sizzles, it brilliantly deploys every rule in the disco-funk playbook to hit your hedonic hotspots with a sledgehammer.

After the song ends, Dua grabs her phone from the aux cord. “Greta said that the whole film was inspired by disco,” she says. “There’s a lot of very glittery and pop moments in it."

Oh wow they’ve sort of been working on this down to the wire haven’t they?

If this turns out to be a smash hit, this'll be the momentum starter for her to finally lock in the U.S. as her core audience. Europe is great but they're the most fickle market ever, the United States may be fickle for starting artists but once you're established at a certain point (Rihanna, Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, Ariana), you'll never flop. Europe drops even the biggest artists there its crazy. Future Nostalgia was big here but its clear she was singles driven and needed the hits to sustain the era, this is the time for her to ensure the US sticks to her like grits! And I love that she's committing to the gay ass disco pop music, there's no one doing it on her level globally.

Imagine if this ends up being a monster hit and she decides last minute with her team to make this the DL3 lead single (while DL3 sounds nothing like it. Like say she brought Timbaland out :toofunny3:)
