He's been blocking and denying anyone who ever dared ask him about his sexulity ever since 2017 while posting about yearly vacations in Mykonos and following every gay guy possible on Instagram. Convenient for him to """come out""" now during Pride month in time to snatch some gigs I guess. Y'all can fight me as much as you want but I don't buy sympathy for people profiting from the community when it's best convenient for them after being so harsh, rude and defensive when he was even asked about it.
Solaria Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 This is just insane, it’s gonna become a bigger song than Euphoria https://twitter.com/eurovisionnewz/status/1667285841595576326?s=46&t=8FvLRjoxKJG3Na8g3Df7bw

We love to see a real public winner with longevity and not just a quick lil lightninging!

tbhmatt Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I read on Twitter that Gothenburg was preparing to bid for hosting rights. I thought I read somewhere that Gothenburg doesn’t have an arena big enough, but idk.

But I believe Stockholm have a problem with football teams not wanting to vacate their stadiums?

Their arena is big enough but there were some concerns about the roof of the venue not being able to handle all of the weight of the lights and stuff that Eurovision requires. They claim to have found a solution though. Still, the roof of the arena is only 14m high and Eurovision usually requires a minimum of 18m. This is the same reason why the venue in Birmingham was rejected last year and why the venue in Maastricht was rejected in 2020. It looks like there will be 3 realistic options that all have some serious issues. Malmö has a good venue but not enough hotel rooms, Stockholm has several potential venues that might all be unavailable, and Gothenburg's venue doesn't appear to meet Eurovision's technical requirements.

Interesting, those seem like some pretty serious logistical issues..

For the 2016 contest, Sandviken, Linköping and Örnsköldsvik were all in the conversation along with Malmö, Stockholm and Gothenburg. However, all of those venues in the smaller cities are, well, smaller (10k capacity at most). With Eurovision's popularity in Sweden in mind, I almost feel Friends Arena in Stockholm is their only viable option... like that's literally where they host Melodifestivalen in a giant stadium.

They'll either have to convince the football team (which I believe is flopping anyway) to move for a few weeks or they'll have to bite the bullet and go for Malmö like 2013. Their hotel issue is easily solved by having people stay in Copenhagen, but they will probably want to avoid that as they'll lose a lot of tourism revenue to Denmark that way.

Can anyone realistically make AIK vacate Friends Arena or is there no feasible way that they’ll agree to move? Sounds like Malmö is the best of a bad bunch based on the issues all cities currently face
Solaria Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Scandinavium is getting demolished and renovated so I have no idea how Gothenburg plans on making a bid cause their second biggest arena can only host 7500 people Friends Arena is OUT because the football team will steadily refuse to move out for Eurovision. I’m 100 % convinced Malmö Arena will host again

No shade but the extended last chorus is just… regular chorus? It doesn’t add anything new to the song.
Gwendolyn Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 Stockholm is said to have been preparing since March, I'm 100% sure it will be Stockholm.
