ATRL Moderator Azulito Posted May 7, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted May 7, 2023 Wasn’t the cartel and if you’re so scared of Mexico, just don’t visit. No one is forcing you

Shoful Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 I’ve been to Mexico twice and never want to return ever again lmao
chris1991 Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 Lol this is old they are fine. Looks like they were driving into non-touristy areas, like that’s kinda common sense. Most towns are fine to travel within BUT looks like they simply went the wrong way. There is more crime in the US than crimes against tourists.
Thinking Of You Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 The citizens thought the two white men were cartels. They were just protecting their town.
Scars Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 The dramatics in the thread. That's not "the cartel" and the american tourists were clearly in a non-touristy area, probably by accident. As soon as the group realized they were two gringos, they even made sure to let them know eveything was going to be okay despite the language barrier. We love a great hospitality.
DamianSolo Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Hell, I'd have been terrified too. I'd love to go to Cancun for spring break one year, but I'm not so sure now—especially with what happened recently.
