Xbox's first AAA exclusive game in years is a panned bomb, surprised?

God I'm so glad I switched to PlayStation in 2018. Xbox is in total shambles. Phil looks done. Defeated. Damn.

I was wary of the game as soon as I read they required an online connection at all times, including single player. It was also headed to the PS5 but was cancelled when MS bought the studio. They have some strange DRM requirements, too.

All in all, it is disappointing because the studio is actually responsible for some great games (Prey, Deathloop, Dishonoured).

I think competition in the market was really healthy at a certain point, but MS buying everything up has become extremely dangerous. I hope for continued Sony and Nintendo dominance next-gen. They generally put more effort into their titles and lineup.

Don't even get me started on games that aren't optimized for the console. I tried the new Star Wars Jedi game and the frame rate was dropping during the credits introducing the name of the studio. Like wtf? :ahh:

Bethesda always delivers games with great storytelling and characters but their games are also a mess when it comes to glitches and bugs, so I'm sure Starfield's release will be met with the same reception because people won't look past the technical problems. I love the Fallout series but what they did with Fallout 76 on release was unforgivable.
