Bears01 Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Orcas aka “killer Whales” are apex predators of the sea. Violent and terrifying to just about every underwater animal out there (they hunt and kill great white sharks and other whales), but are often neural if not friendly towards humans As of today, there is no recorded attacks of Orcas against humans in the wild. But with their terrifying history and sharp teeth, would you willingly go swimming with these majestic, but yet, scary animals?

I saw a documentary where a diver was observing orcas in the water, and the orca tried to share its food with him. In this video they look very playful and curious about what the human is, since we don't look like other things in the sea, kind of like when we see an exotic creature. There’s so many fascinating videos of them out there interacting with humans. It really is extraordinary, because for how evil they are to other living beings, they’re quite kind and curious toward people, even though if they wanted to, they could truly be the living breathing human version of “Jaws”.

TaggedGalaxy Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Yes, there has never been a documented attack on humans from Orcas in the wild, and sharks are scared shitless of them so if they are around then the sharks won't be
byzantium Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 (edited) H*ll no! Those killing machines are not getting close to me. I’d rather swim with any other whale. Edited May 2, 2023 by byzantium
Specter Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Yes They don't attack people. I am nervous though, they are /too/ smart and in many ways I would not be able to reconcile how nature's most efficient killing machine is allowing me to swim next to it, and is simply uninterested.
Jotham Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 (edited) No, but mainly because I don't like swimming in open water. Edited May 2, 2023 by Jotham
