No it’s a positive and uplifting community where differences are settled respectfully

Same thing applies to internet.

It's not for weak people.

Yes obviously, I lowkey can’t stand non popculture related topics on here anymore because most members are extremely hurt queer people that still have a lot to process but don’t have the means to be able to do that. So a lot of debated topics are toxic and delusional

Yes it's for weak people who will never say what they say on the internet in real life. It's toxic and weak people should not be here if they cant accept that :cm:

It’s toxic for anyone who isn’t a Swiftie, let’s just say that.

Sure there are other toxic places but there are also some other notorious pop music communities where majority of the behaviours allowed in here are forbidden, with people discussing the artists they actually like without having users who spend more time in hating on other artists without contributing to anything else like it punctually happening in here.

I read the toxic replies, laugh and then move on.

I stay anyway because (1) to read the funny replies and (2) to discuss LGBT content, which I don't get on most other platforms.

It’s a disaster yeah. Nasty trolls playing contrarian on purpose to spread rampant racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, anti-semitism etc etc.

But it’s a great place to discuss pop culture things and talk about albums/songs. The big threads feed off negativity but I live for rates and discussion of artists where it isn’t a comparison.

it might even extend beyond atrl. what do you think, @cockatoo?

No it’s the healthiest place I’ve been online with very sane and definitely not maladjusted adults

It was definitely nuts a few years ago but I wonder what it’s like now. No more SYG?!?

i would say yeah. at least the threads on certain topics are way more toxic here than on other sites like reddit or popheads for instance

Yeah. I used to get fired up, but what's the point? You're not going to change the minds of people who make comments like "I don't associate with fatties" or "I want to date a real man." And these people are bitter and single anyway.

I come to ATRL for music news and occasionally giving my 0.02 cents in The Lounge/The Roof threads.
