pls didn't yall let selena redo her debut? and she can't even sing

the tracks she shared kinda recently ate, i would've preferred one of those to alone - but I like the title, if the theming is going to be dark and menacing

I think she should rerelease slutpop with girly songs from problematique bc they still fit the bimbo vibe just not as sexually graphic

Selena didn’t redo her debut album. Her debut solo album is “Stars Dance” (2013). And with the band is “Kiss & Tell” (2009).

“Beast” would have been a slay. Just that one word.

Third album, don't care what others may say

is there gonna be a… sound? a cohesive direction? perhaps some sonic identity?

Y’all we get it now that you don’t see this as her debut album, move on niw. You’ve filled 4 pages with the same posts.

Exactly.

I wonder if this is really the title, excited for the album anyway!

Are these rhetorical questions?

Revelations, HIFTB and UTTC will be on the album, ASW won't but apparently they're trying to release it through a soundtrack or something

Wait when did we find this out about ASW?

I'm really intrigued to see the album cover..is Steven Klein still involved?

No, I am genuinely lost as to if there’s ANY musical direction because the singles all sound nothing alike. Everything just sounds like 2016 pop music so far when originally she said it was going to be Eurodance inspired or whatever

Glad to hear that If Jesus Was a Rockstar and Brrr were scrapped.

Allegedly, Revelations will make the album. Good. Alone, Hit it From the Back, and Your Time to Cry (allegedly on the album) are mid, but they’re better than IJWAR/Brrr.

That said, I hate the album title. I would’ve even preferred the album be called Kim Petras or Introducing Kim Petras.

I consider Clarity her first album, Turn Off the Lights her second, and her third album Feed the Beast.

My expectations are low, considering I didn’t care for Alone and the snippets Kim posted on Instagram live.

If you’re a casual fan of Kim’s, it’s okay to dislike her artistic decisions. We’re not hating on her personally, and we were the ones who praised the Problematique leak and Era 1. It’s really not that deep if we’re not in love with her new material.

I'm excited for the BANKS collab. I'm hoping it's a good song :ihype:

She said the album is all over the place sonically

I can’t at her calling this a debut? Girl. Clarity was a whole ass, fully-produced and promoted album. And TOTL was a whole moment and body of work itself.

Just because she wasn’t signed to a label then doesn’t mean they weren’t albums, but go off :gaycat6:

No **** it’s her major label debut, that’s not hard to grasp. But she’s calling it her debut album and it isn’t. Talk about slow :rip:

At this point she has an entire discography scrapped.

What drives me MAD is the amount of snippets we got over the months that are probably never going to see the light of day, officially at least. Dashboard, Official Girl, Keep It and so on.

I think calling Problématique europop is a bit of a stretch tbh. It obviously had some references but overall it was mostly a disco-pop/synthpop album that everyone and their mother were doing around 2020-21. Nothing too unique or distinct

This one sounded promising & catchy , I hope she releases it

Are we gonna get Keep It with this?
