Beatles, MJ, Elvis and Queen. They are the best selling artists of all time for a reason.

?

Hitmaker implies someone who consistently churned them out. Not just huge album sellers or impactful artists (like Elvis and Queen).

I'd say the Beatles, Madonna, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. Mariah, Janet and Rihanna all fight for it too, but Mariah and Janet don't have as many massive classics as the others, and Rihanna doesn't have quite as many hits, even though she's definitely the hitmaker of our generation.

Mariah (and probably even Janet) objectively have more classic hits than Stevie Wonder let's be for real. He's an impactful legend, I stan, but yeah...

The Beatles, MJ, Mariah Carey/Whitney, and Rihanna/Drake.

The Beatles - That 1,2,3 record from a time where singles were released, shopped to radio, and had immense competition that wasn't broken until a few years ago.

MJ - Full Albums of hit singles. (If Janet did that more often, she would be alongside her brother)

Whitney - SEVEN Consecutive #1 Singles + Mariah - 18 #1 singles

Rihanna - amazing chart dominance in our age. Her and Drake are neck-and-neck at the moment.

 Classic hits?

Now you know Stevie is clearing Janet beforreal lol

Paul McCartney (has written or co-written a record 32 songs that have topped the Billboard Hot 100)

Mariah Carey (wrote 18 number one hits, has 19 overall, 2 of them among the most weeks at #1 list, 1 of them tops charts worldwide every year)

The rest idgaf

Everyone does too much on Janet because her streaming. She has those classics :toofunny2:

Madonna, Mariah, Janet and Rihanna are the four that immediately come to mind (for women)
