I'm pretty sure he will get some (deserved) lashings but I can't help but imagine the reactions if this was a Pop or Alt girl who did this? Her career would legit end, or at least touring/live shows wise. It sucks.

 

Frank will get dragged and go back into hiding and throwing his Prep parties or whatever, but everyone will move on by the time his long-anticipated album drops out of nowhere.

every day i fear more and more that he’s falling into a Lauryn Hill style narrative - eternally beloved and influential but also completely inaccessible and mysterious to a fault… just so far off on their own little nebulous planet that they’re not at all bound to the responsibilities and commitments of being a modern day recording artist in any way  

 

hopefully he’s doing ok mentally and he sees this as a wake up call to put a little more effort and agency into maintaining his legacy if that’s something he’s interested in. he really is one of the most musically advanced artists of the 21st century
