I hate this damn song but it's a good single choice.  It's already been viral on TT, Gen Z loves it.  And it definitely sounds like a radio smash.

 

I just hope its cringeworthiness doesn't damage her like ME!th did.

No I get that part, I meant I cant hear what she is actually saying because she sounds so muted and muffled with the cheap production blasting all around her in the chorus 

 

anyway, hoping for the best 

hope this gets a radio edit or new mix. The beats in the album version sound really cheap and empty.

this is probably her best song ever and encapsulates her entire career as a songwriter imo. great choice

Yeah this was clearly a single from the album release. 
Thank god Midnight Tanked didn’t become a single

Midnight Rain is a smash album track but I fear it would flounder as a single.

 

I would have personally just released Hits Different as the next single but what do I know. Karma works with what's left, given how post-album singles don't typically smash hard when everyone's already listening to the album.

Once you understand that she’s talking about the personification of Karma and not Toe, it hits sm harder  like yes, Karma really IS her boyfriend! She always comes out on TOP! 

Some of y'all have a hard time telling personal taste from potential  Karma is by far the best single choice left
