As we all know, some pop girls are not really known for their talent or vocal abilities, but rather the opposite. Since ATRL is a music-oriented site, for sure there are many musically talented members, so I thought I’d make this thread. I’m not really a vocalist, but I consider myself a better singer than Britney, Selena, Taylor, Rihanna, and the other girls who are not really considered that talented. What about y’all? Are you more talented or a better singer than any pop girl?

I am an artist and I produce and write all my music which probably puts me above a ton of girls creatively, although I am not a good singer really

i actually wouldn’t put myself above Brit. she has one of the most iconic voices ever and her vocal arrangements, textures etc are a huge part of modern pop music. she uses different registers of her voice and can convey a lot of emotion and personality in the studio.

I feel confident I can sing better than JLo & Selena

I think I probably am? idk I'm a trained musician (classically trained on upright bass) and even though I'm no producer I have a great voice if i do say so myself. i auditioned to perform at Denver Pride on Sunday with my own song (upcoming gay bop get ready y'all... some of u have heard it on my insta story lol) and I made two people cry lol

ot: Vocally no but at one point I could play multiple instruments very well. Im definitely out of practice though.

I think so. But That's not really a flex, since most people can. 

Probably none of Atrler would be more talented than any pop girls, this includes Jlo and Selena.

 

You might think you're a good singer but if you record your vocals in a professional way you will realize you actually sound like ****.

 

 

I feel like this thread is going to devolve into a bunch of men being overconfident in their abilities compared to women.

You can ask this question to random people on the street and 9/10 will be a better singer than Taylor/Selena and 10/10 will be lightyears better than Rihanna in every aspect.

compared to most pop girls i'd say i'm a better dancer but just a little above average when it comes to vocals. one think though is that they have a lot more experience so i wouldn't say i'm more talented than them, i'd probably look a fool at a televised performance whereas the pop girls know the ins and outs and do great with whatever level of perfomance ability they have, and that's not easy to do.
