I love Taylor and am paying good money to go to the Eras Tour but it’s 1000% Kylie :rip: She’s probably the best live singer out of all of the major “small-voiced” pop stars, including my fave.

Kylie by a mile:skull:

Anyone who thinks Taylor is a better vocalist should go and listen to your disco needs you or confide in me.

Kylie's voice and tone is incredible. Definitely Kylie. Whoever voted for Taylor needs their ears checked 💀

Neither of them are the strongest vocalists but I think Kylie has the edge.

Kylie but her nasal tone really gives the impression that she is a less gifted singer, overall.

Kylie has better vocal range and has quite a lot of strength in her upper range.

Though Taylor is really great at storytelling using her singing voice, but her range is limited.

I'd say Kylie overall.

Kylie Minogue, by eons.

Minogue had always worked on her voice, technique wise, through periodic training since her debut in the late 80’s (there are videos of her practicing scales with her pianist in the 1990’s) however she did so even more, and it became much more consistent, in the mid-00’s following her first cancer diagnosis as she thought (in her own words) she was losing her voice.

Her voice may be small in weight and bright in color and texture, but a small and bright voice can still be strengthened to have a core as strong as any naturally big voice through adopting the appropriate vocal techniques and having good vocal hygiene. She was never as gifted to the same level as Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey but she worked to preserve it.

Her upper register is quite expansive and she has a solid middle voice and good lower register.

Along with my own faves, she would easily sing Swift off the stage on any platform. It’s not even close.

I don’t know much about Kylie’s live music as I’ve only just started getting into her studio stuff the last 3 years, but this clip alone is something I know Taylor could never pull off so my vote goes to Kylie :gaycat1: That was impressive.

Also going to stream this song now as I haven’t encountered it yet until now

Kylie's voice is annoying TO ME (drag me idc). Very cutesy and silly

I only listen to SINGERS.

I very listen to people who cannot sing.

Why is this even a comparison :rip: Kylie, sweetie.

Because I been switching between listens of midnights and disco :gayliecat1:

Taylor have arguably better lows and a "prettier" tone (at least in studio), but she doesn't even has vibrato

Kylie have great range and her biggest strength is her hv/falsetto, miles better than the screechy and undeveloped one of so called superior vocalists like Lady GaGa actually:coffee2:

I think Kylie’s pretty underrated as a singer, probably because her tone is so nasal. She’s easily better than Taylor.
