Despite being an actress, Anne Hathaway has shown that she has some serious vocal abilities. It made me realize that she’s actually better than big pop singers like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.

Of almost every pop star if it's about technique. 

 

But just an average musical voice you heard in every Broadway production.

Nothing special in the field, so every discussion about how great her voice is It's because She's an Hollywood star, or she's a so so Broadway voice. It's not a top list talent as barbra Streisand (to quote another Hollywood A list).

Better than Ariana too because I don't need the lyrics next to me to hear what she's saying. 

Anne is a very talented vocalist for sure

Isn't she a hardcore theatre kid? It's not surprising she's an excellent live performer but her voice isn't unique at all. Love her though!

She is, but I'm not sure why Taylor is being singled out. She's a better singer than Katy, Rihanna, Britney, Olivia and a few others.

She’s a great singer but I couldn’t imagine her being able to sing a Taylor song better than Taylor. Kelly Clarkson is the perfect example of this, she’s a great vocalist but her cover of Clean wasn’t a patch on the original. Taylor isn’t a powerhouse vocalist (and she doesn’t have to be) but her style of singing is well suited to the songs she releases. 
 

 

Singers like Aimee Mann, Stevie Nicks and Carly Simon can’t sing like Whitney and Mariah, but it doesn’t matter, as their tones are perfectly suited for the music they release and I also wouldn’t want to hear Mariah or Whitney sing their songs.
