Singles don’t need to have 2B to be huge hits. Dua is on top of course but the other girls can also compete with men.

We are not going to that route dumbass, all of these songs were hits this decade. Billie’s last smash hit was in 2019  and if we are going to bring hits from the past decade, soon New Rules and One Kiss will reach +2B too.

What part of “songs that became hits in 20’s” you don’t understand? Watermelon Sugar and Blinding Lights were also released in 2019. And even if we don’t include DSN, the list and the topic are still valid, because Dua would still be the only woman with a mega smash this decade. Unlike the girl in your pfp that was left in the last decade, ig that’s why you’re pressed.

 

 

It’s very difficult to get singles to take off post-album release in the streaming era, especially for established female artists with dedicated fan bases who consume the album like crazy in the first few weeks. Most pop girls’ singles are flops or just average radio hits after the lead single these days. 

 

Future Nostalgia was Dua’s true breakout era, so I think a lot of the singles were still fresh to people. It also helps that she did remixes and tv performances like the old days. The promo is lacking these days for most girls after the lead single.
