Rumor: Taylor Swift to debut acting career by joining Iggy Azalea's Film & TV company

Featured Replies

Early this year it was announced that Iggy Azalea was back in the process of writing for film/tv. She's already sold a couple shows/ideas to NBC Cable a few of years ago but nothing much as happened since then.

Are you ready for a Taylor Swift and Iggy Azalea collaboration? If a recent announcement is any indication, the two might be joining forces soon! It was just announced that Taylor Swift has signed onto Iggy Azalea's new movie and TV production company, Azalea Street Productions, which could potentially lead to a role in a movie Iggy Azalea is working on. While there is no confirmation that Taylor Swift will be starring in an Iggy Azalea movie, fans are definitely speculating that this could be the start of something big!

Could this be for Iggy's movie she's working on?

Pop star Iggy Azalea and her Azalea Street Productions have optioned rights to Temple Mathews’ upcoming novel Bad Girl Gone, which will be published this summer by Macmillan’s St. Martin’s Griffin and Thomas Dunne Books. The pre-empted deal comes on the heels of the Aussie singer and model signing a first-look deal with Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios, where she is developing reality TV series and high-end scripted fare.

St. Martin’s Griffin and Thomas Dunne Books Mathews, author of the YA book novel series The New Kid, also wrote and directed the 2016 feature film Holiday Breakup. Her Bad Girl Gone, which hits shelves August 8, centers on a recently deceased girl who must solve her own murder in order to escape purgatory. In the process, she struggles between a relationship she left behind in the real world and one she’s developed in the in-between.

The deal was brokered by Patrick Hughes and his newly formed Foundation Media Partners. Brendan Deneen at Macmillan Entertainment will produce the film with Azalea and Hughes.

also in 2022 she revealed she has more in the works:

This rumor was posted by someone who has connections to big names in Hollywood. His predictions and "leaks" are normally reliable but, since posting this, he's left the discord. He also had info on the Resident Evil netflix from a few months ago reboot.

At the same time, having Taylor Swift join the team would be an incredible asset for Iggy Azalea. Not only would she have an incredibly popular star associated with her production company, but Taylor's influence could draw more attention and interest from investors and sponsors.

In short, there are many possibilities that could arise from Taylor Swift joining Azalea Street Productions. Her involvement could open up countless opportunities for both Taylor and Iggy, allowing them to explore their creativity and reach wider audiences.

The person who has more details had reliable information on what to expect from the Resident Evil Netflix show before its launch and he was apparently also on the set.

i have heard of Swifties speculating if Tay is bi but there's nothing concrete about her exploring her sexualuity. That would be cool, tho

No way Taylor's taking anything but a bit role (where she gets killed off instantly) in something she's not writing and directing.
