I'm glad that she got to tour Brazil for the first time just a few months before she passed and the shows were very well received

I wasn’t expecting Gaga at #2 

Rihanna kinda low with 8 albums. Katy 1m with only 4 albums huge. She was a superstar there 

P!nk my second fave was big during TTAL and Missundazstood but it’s her weakest market with Asia.

If Katy sold that amount of albums imagine the amount of singles in LatAm since even Swish Swish was a hit in the region 

Avril was a FORCE here in the 2000s. Her songs were very popular and many girls imitated her aesthetic, especially during The Best Damn Thing era.

It’s a gross European thing, like when they say “maths.”  For some reason this forum is obsessed with ignoring actual decades/centuries and going off the “__th century AD” model. I think it’s because cutting out 2000 cuts out some major competition.

 

OT: It’s crazy to see how hard album sales fell in Latin America, especially when the teen pop craze died. For reference, Britney sold more in Mexico alone (2.005M) than these ladies did across all of Latin America.
