Hector Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I presume ultimate ad-free takes out all of the ads for other shows before a show of your choice starts.
May Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 OMG that price surely no one is going to pay 15 bucks for a service that still gives you ads?
ALA Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Idiotic to take out HBO out of the title... how on earth is that gonna help the brand
Schhh Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Jodie Foster's True Detective looked much better than Kate's show.

It sounds like the $15 tier is ad-free and the $20 tier will just give you 4k streams, more concurrent devices, and more downloads. They should probably work to clarify this on this during the marketing campaign however
Katamari Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I get hbo max though my cable subscription so I hope that will remain
Arcadius Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I’m just mad they changed the color to blue, the purple made it stand out.
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted April 12, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted April 12, 2023 I get my HBO Max thru my phone plan, will that still stay? I have absolutely no need to pay for it now that Legendary is gone
Aelita Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 y'all know what to do when they get crazy like that
ShouldersSideways Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I get why they're changing the name because something like Chip and Joanna Gaines being perceived as part of the HBO brand is so But this has been a mess

So many other streaming services use blue already. They truly destroyed their entire branding today between this and removing HBO from the name.
Dula Peep Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 (edited) I like how they incorporated the HBO 'O' into the 'a' they need to bring back the purple though, the blue matches Paramount+ and Disney+ too much Edited April 12, 2023 by Dula Peep
lgaga1fan Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 There's only 1 tier with ads. The other two tiers dont have ads. The difference between Reg/Ultimate is the highest tier has 4k/Atmos and lets you have 4 video streams (like netflix)
RunBoyRun Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I get HBO max through Hulu. Will that stay? Ugh...
kandicha Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 I've been considering getting it but idk about that price for ad-free
XAMJ Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 I think the plan is to name it MAX so when Discovery sells Warner Bros to Universal, they can do something with Peacock/HBO.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 (edited) This is kinda a dumb way to try and get new subs. It’s would be like if Disney+ made a secondary service just called Plus🤣 HBO is like the premier Name for Television, especially adults. Also thier new projects. And Price ranges ain’t helping. And seems like the internet backlash and stocks falling prove it Edited April 13, 2023 by Gorjesspazze9
