Anyone miss their old body?

Hello! 

 

I'm in my late 20s, and I miss when I used to be 180 pounds. For reference, I'm 6'1, and I miss not having a belly and fitting very easily into size 36/38 pants. I felt so much sexier. I am on medication that causes weight gain, and I have endured a lot of stress in the past year, so I shouldn't give myself too much crap. I do have a gym membership, and I know how to eat properly, but dang it, some foods just taste so good and life can be stressful as it is. 

 

I'm not looking for sympathy, but I'm genuinely wondering if anyone misses their old body. I'm also wondering if this is a thing you think about as you get older.

I kind of have the opposite experience, I used to fluctuate a lot when I was younger but now that I’m in my late 20s it’s much easier for me to keep my routines and stay consistently fit

Yes my pre-pandemic body. I was working at home for like 10 months when I added 10kilos. Mostly on face and butt.

I was depressed for 4 years and that didn't really have a positive effect on my body. I used to be so happy with my old body!

Slowly getting back to the body I once had.

Yes, my pre-covid body. I still look roughly the same now except I've put on slightly a few pounds and grown my hair out flabbynsick.png

actually no. I loved my old very thin body, but I feel so much better and I think I look better with this dad body. from I've seen people like it better too.

Yes I miss it so much, not just because of how I look but because I used to be so fit and healthy.

No, I have the same body shape since forever. And it's  kinda annoying  because I'm skinny like a teenager which does not look good when you 29 :rip: It doesn't matter what I eat - my body never changes.

Gained like 12 kilos since covid. Like it doesn’t look like it and everyone doesn’t seem to believe me. But I went up from a 32 to 34 pant size and some how it’s comping for my psyche

Not at all. I was a very fat teenager and losing weight in my early 20s has been the best experience for me

I dropped like 40 pounds since my teens/early 20s I wouldn’t wanna go back

Covid scared me so hard I went from obese to overweight in 2020 and apart from seasonal fluctuations (especially Christmas), I'm more at peace with my body than ever. Not 24/7, but slowly more and more.

Yes. I miss the body of my 20s immensely.

Yeah. During the pandemic I stopped going to the gym and ballooned to 125 lbs. I miss my six-pack, but have had a hard time getting back to a steady gym routine :gaycat7:

this might sound terrible and insensitive but to some extent, we ALL have the body we deserve

I dropped 26 lbs from 203 to 177 lbs (6 feet) over the past couple months by getting back to a healthy lifestyle because I’ve been trying to get back to my snatched body from two years ago but then I remind myself how poor my mental health was back then. My body was great but everything else was horrible so was it really worth it? I’m trying to do it healthily and intuitively this time and I’m so much happier even though my body isn’t yet to my desired point.

Yes & no. Like I do actually miss my body but I suffered anorexic and even beating that was a big deal. I'm now a bit chubber but I sometimes wish I still had the skinny body because people on instagram are now calling me fat. And looking at myself im thinking I'm fat and miss weighing about 45 Instead of 75

No I was a twink before and I was finally able to put on a few pounds and now I’m less twinkier :gaycat1:

I used to be so skinny that i had “fake” abs if that makes sense that i occasionally miss but also used to be told all the time i was to skinny which got annoying. Now I’ve gotten a little belly and am covered in hair that I’ve grown to really like. I just need to bulk up my arms a little more and I’ll be at my ideal body type :mandown:

Yes :cries: In my early 20s I was healthy and fit and confident but life just beat me down and I gained so much weight over the years and I feel sluggish and weak now. Good news is I've been starting an exercise routine again (although not at the same level as before) and fixing up my diet. I've accepted that I won't have the same body anymore so as long as I can keep my body healthy and decently fit, then I'll be happy.

I've gained 15 pounds since Thanksgiving of last year, so yes. My pre-Thansgiving body I definitely miss

Cant relate, I'm the same same weight & physique I was in highschool

 

Then again I'm not in my late 20s so
