There is a weird energy on ATRL towards Lorde. She’s constantly called overrated and gets flack whenever theres a Lana vs Lorde conversation.

 

Pure Heroine and Melodrama are both amazing albums and even Solar Power isn’t that bad as people made it out to be. So why aren’t people fond of her?

Cause most site stans Lana so they can't see someone who is better than her. 

 

Lana is great but Lorde is once in a generation talent

If I write my actual thoughts I would get a warning point so I won't say anything. Let's just say they all will switch with L4 and I can already see it happening.

I agree and I think a lot of Lana stans are just success stans because of her acclaim and fanbase appeal

She is  We just don't like her last album and that's okay

I stan Lana too and when Lorde gets to have 9 albums just like Lana, I think Lorde will have the better discography.

Her stans are pretty annoying

Because them not liking her last album makes them think being nasty to her is justifiable. they switch like f words indeed

i blame her latest project for the undeserved hate

i noticed since solar power came out ppl have started liking her less which is weird because solar power wasn't bad imo and if it's not anyone's cup of tea they could just go back to her first two albums which are without a doubt amazing

at this rate in 2059 

she's literally only released like 3 albums in 10 years, so she hasn't built up a huge fanbase on this site. i think it's also because she seems to have a bit of an overlap with lana.

with the music output of both artists, lana has a far better discography. she's produced born to die, ultraviolence and norman ******* rockwell which are highly acclaimed albums. 

Fans didn't like her last album

especially when the one before that, set such a high level for her - so the disappointment was even bigger

 

+she has had beef with Lana, which has left a bad taste in lots of fans' mouth

She’s try hard 2014’d somebody that have no business in 2023’s music scene.

Exactly and it's so annoying because Melodrama is just as strong as NFR. And Pure Heroine is arguably a better debut than Born to Die 

Dumb people think she's pretentious because she's smart and uses big words

Probably because she’s not as visually pleasing as Lana is. It boils down to superficial nonsense when you think about it. 

I love her. Actually im the opposite to everyone. I start to like her more and more after Solar Power 
I live for Sunny songs 

Because she released a panned bomd called Solar Power and the 4-year wait was simply not worth it, everyone was disappointed  She could regain some fans with L4 though
