likee...Sel felt the bigger act back then (esp since Ari just had a 2nd album or w/e), but looking at it now..it kind of feels like she was being edged out?

Selena gave up on anything musical..and I dont think she is doing much with those shows she is on

I imagine she could've rivaled Ari, since all eyes were on her kinda..but she chose to go on a hiatus and then release a mid album when she came back - leaving the era to die, as soon as she hit 1# (by begging her fans to buy her Worst single ever)

((altho I am wondering..since Ari's career is so huge now..but she would've definitely had a harder time doing so well, if there was a Selena going as hard as she was))

Ariana is a bigger phenomenon than the glorified instagram influencer 

 

Selena is not as relevant as some of her fans try and make people believe. She's got a bit of a cult following and men on instagram think she's hot. That's about it. Oh and she's in a Netflix sitcom 

 

Ariana is one the biggest stars in the world and her stats knock the instagram influencer out of the water. Plus Selena is a singer by profession and she can't hold a note to save her life 

Ariana has music but selena beats her in everything else.

If you like Selena more than Ariana that’s all well and good but to sit here and try to objectively say that she is bigger than Ariana is just silly. Tabloid fodder and Instagram followers aren’t translating into streams and sales.
