They’re moving on from reggaeton and it’s all about bélicos/corridos tumbaos.

I do think she took too long to follow up XT4S1S. 8 months  

 

I mean I am glad she stopped releasing a song every 2 weeks but she went to the other extreme lol. I hope the album follows soon, although i am not sure, as apparently everything was scrapped after XT4S1S became a hit.

Well yes, people are moving from reggaeton but they are not necessarily embracing pop. More like moving onto regional/banda or whatever mix that Peso Pluma guy is. i'd say it's even worse, at least with reggaeton the girlies could release their bops.

Danna said that the album is dark. I wonder if she really means that. I would have thought the new album would be upbeat? She did say that the songs take her to a sad time in her life, so I guess the lyrics are dark?

The worst thing with latin girls rn is how they release more than half of the album before its release as singles, so if she follows that pattern i don't think we'll be getting the album anytime soon

 

I hope she releases music often though

had to do with the fact that estacy took off and they want back to square one and scrapped the more reggaeton based album she was originally planning to release in favor of the pop music that we're getting now so that campaign had to be dragged out. i feel like once todo de ti took off the way it did the latin landscape isn't as fickle when it comes to pop again especially considering estacy being her biggest hit in a minute

i mean it still sounds very up beat but thematically it can be dark. just because the song has a pop production doesn't mean it can't be dark. we could be very much getting a dark pop album from her. alot of the latin girls are switching to pop to like lali, aitana to name a few but thank god, give us more interesting productions instead of the usual reggaeton beat

hopefully the delay in between her last single release and this means that they were hard at work on an album and have it ready to go soon. the latest i'd want to get it and feel like it should be dropped is the fall

I agree! I don't know why I couldn't get into her with her previous album, but her latest songs are really good!

I have mixed feelings about this, I dig that she’s going full pop route and left reggaetón in the past, the song is good for me but not as great as XT4S1S was, what made X feel like an event was that she really went full force with it, she gave us teasers, lyric video, music video, TikTok challenges, Spotify playlisting and promoted it non stop on her socials while I see she’s trying to do it again this time it feels like a messed up release, she had been sitting on this for months and it feels like her and her team half assed the video and promo. I hope I’m wrong but she’ll need to promote this everywhere so it turns into a nice little hit.
