It’s a shame because at one point it felt like Demi would have the biggest music career out of the three of them but she’s fell behind so much in recent years

Well... She's been using music a therapy for two eras now rather than pursuing success. She's focused on her mental health, which is one of the reasons she changed to rock. Rock allows her to stay away from the pressure of the pop world she used to be (and somehow still is) part of. Neither Demi or her team/label have cared about success lately, so unless something has changed (which I doubt), she won't lift a finger for her music to do well on charts. 

 

The only way she can get some success is with a big viral song, which would force her label to push it.

with streaming platforms this can help even further than they did before cuz of algorithm and stuff 

i mean, i'm a selenator, miley listener since flowers and demi does get recommended a lot for me. target audience if u think about it 

 

either way i don't see demi resurging but i do agree with lovatics with this one and also think she's stopped caring after DWTDTAOSO, so it's probably not that important anymore for her! 

i can see her getting at least cute streams again tho, still alive numbers were so weird.

I think she might give us a mixture of classic rock and rock with some modern touch like her boyfriend's latest songs. She's worked with UPSAHL, whose rock music is quite accessible.

I think their rock stuff is pretty solid, nothing spectacular but I think it's the better lane bc I think TMYLM is the best version of R&B Demi we'll ever get.

 

I kind of wish she'd move away from the Upsahl/Royal & the Serpent type of rock and do something that's a bit less pastiche but alas.
