They filmed a pilot with Sarah Michelle Gellar (for CBS if I'm not wrong) and it got immediately scrapped.

In 2016 they shoot a pilot for NBC for a sequel series of the movie set 17 years after.

Sarah Michelle Gellar was in the series but a

series wasn't order.

The movie is based in the 1700 novels les liaisons dangereuses and they have made a lot of movies and series from that (a prequel TV series just last year) so maybe you're confusing with that.

I honestly don't understand why they want to give this another shot, really. The 80s movie was great and the 90s remake was a fresh and modern take back in the day, but the TV pilot was terrible and Sarah's acting was nothing remotely similar to what Katheryn was.

I'm sure this is just another reboot that will most likely have anything to do with the OG 90s cast but I just can't fathom why they'd think this is a good idea.

Sydney Sweeney will be on it

Re-tool the cancelled NBC pilot (which I loved) and it'll do well.

Honestly, Cruel Intentions is not a main network series. Had Peacock been around, I do think the pilot would have done well for the platform.

I guess so, but that pilot was so bad. It literally felt like an episode of Days of our lives :rip:

the pilot was filmed and never aired. how did it bomb? nbc just didn't go threw with it. it was considered too salacious at the time.

katheryn is not suppose to be the same at 40 when she was a teenager in high school. i was so interested in visiting her as a duplicitous cougar trying to possibly hook up with her nephew just to get his fortune. it was serving DYNASTY realness. theirs enough meat in the story to cover alot of ground though

These 90s flicks were cheesy during those times already when people were obssesed with divorce and affairs lol

they believe the nostalgia/name recognition, no matter how random the property or how unsuited it is for a revival, is safer investment than original content. i know we already had a huge wave of flop reboots and revivals of old shows over the last decade, but i have a feeling there will be a lot more now that streamers are pulling back budgets and spending more conservatively.

It was atrocious and as a SMG fan she can do much better than that

I'd watch the pilot over Days of Our Lives any day of the damn week, especially with Ron Carlivati at the sh*tty writing helm.

this but that's why i love nicole kidman and reese witherspoon jump starting all these new projects to look forward to. really made a space for content and has been such a turning point for both of their acting careers
